“A Distant Rainbow” is autobiographical gay themed book containing the not too joyful story about growing up, learning about my own homosexuality and hiding in the closet.
The story takes place mostly in the 1980’s and 90’s in a conservative Eastern European country. The beginning of this moving story focuses on the childhood filled with lack of parental love, bullying at an elementary school, an abusive classmates, the first falling in love, the first erotic experiences and strong desire for a bit of attention and love. Later, the story comes to light turning on a better situation. The first true love, though brief, but intense, accompanied by somewhat successful music career.
Initially I thought this story is not that special that I should write a book or make any drama about it. I believe this is the experience that the majority of „sexually disoriented“ people meet with in conservative countries.
In short words, the story is full of ups and downs and it is certainly worth the read. It is written in a simple language, easily understandable to every reader.
I hope you’re gonna enjoy it.
