28-year-old Brian Justin Crum sings Queen’s ‘Somebody to Love’ – and we think we have.
Just before performing, 28-year-old Brian Justin Crum revealed that being bullied for both his sexuality and desire to be a singer had shaken his self-confidence, but soon stuck it to those who made his life a misery with a stunning performance.
“I was bullied for being gay. I was bullied for wanting to be a singer. I had a lot of hard times when I was a kid, and [my mum] had been a huge supporter for me,” he said.
As both the audience and judges showed their appreciation, Mel B told him: “If I wasn’t married, and you were straight, we would be in love.”
Fellow judge Heidi Klum added: “I just love how you showed all of those people who bullied you… Good for you!”
Everyone waited with baited breath for Simon’s comments, but even the hard-to-please head judge was impervious to Brian’s talents.
“The truth is, you’re a fantastic singer… This is why these shows exist, to give people like you, with huge talent, an opportunity,” he said.
As news of his performance traveled across the web, Brian took to Twitter with a screenshot of his outstanding performance trending on Facebook.
